
Dr Ronald Alexander
Dr Ronald Alexander has taught mind/body psychotherapy in the United States, Europe and Asia for over thirty years. He works in private practice, with corporate clients and at dynamic workshops and seminars around the globe.
In the USA he is in high demand as an executive coach and leadership consultant to the music, film, media and entertainment industry, working with high profile talent and creative executives as well as companies including ABC Television, Universal Pictures, Columbia, Sony, Telemundo and Walt Disney.
Notably, he originated 'Open Mind Training,' a unique mind/body/healing training programme blending eastern wisdom teachings with western psychology. He takes the practice into the business world to build corporate excellence and facilitate productive change.
Ron was ordained in the Zen lay tradition and has studied Tibetan Buddhism. He was a pioneer in the early teaching of Mindfulness Meditation, psychology and healing disciplines at Yoga Works; UCLA; the New York Open Centre and the Omega and Esalen Institutes in the United States and at the Cottonwood Treatment Centre in London. He will soon be bringing his unique teaching to the UK, at Alternatives and The Mind, Body Spirit Festival in London.
Outside of work, Dr Alexander is an adventure enthusiast who bikes, hikes, climbs, skis and roller-blades. He has trekked on foot in the Himalayas and on an elephant along the Thai/Burmese border; has been windsurfing in Greece and river rafting and technical climbing in the Grand Canyon, Grand Teton and Yosemite national parks.
A lover of nature, music and film, he enjoys good food and great books as well as intense and engaging conversations.
He is in the process of writing two books: 'Happiness and Mind Body Healing' and 'The Mindful Leader.'
